Well below standard

New England & Canada cruise 14th September 2019.

We booked this cruise for our Golden wedding anniversary .

The itinerary was perfect we enjoyed every port, we regard ourselves as seasonal cruisers

We have cruise with Princess twice before in the Caribbean everything perfect.

But after this on Sapphire Princess they have gone down hill & lost there way.

Meals.
We were anytime dining tables was no problem , the menu had certainly changed.
The steaks that you could have anytime no more that’s gone down to a burger .
If your would like a steak you payed extra 10 dollars extra.
They were alway trying to sell you the steak house & crab shack at 29 dollars extra.
Very few Vegetables served if you liked spinach or runner beans this was on most of the time, potatoes 2 roast or 3 wedges on your plate meals way to small.
People said ask for 2 meals you should not need to, so off to the Horizon for a decent meal.

Drink we purchased soda package don’t know if it was value for money cost approx £440 + 18% service charge on all drinks.
Coffee package well worth it 15 special coffees & as many special teas & drinking chocolates through out the cruise.The international cafe was perfect
Wine & beers all to expensive, wine cheapest around 40 dollars most people drank water when eating.
Can of Guinness price about £7.50 . Gin & tonic about £8.50 not many drinking
Princess start to bring prices down then people will have a drink.

Gratuity to expensive worked out about £540 cancelled, payed who deserved it.
The 18% service charge you can cancel that as well.

Entertainment very good but if you was not in the theatre by 7.15 for the 8 o’clock performance you did not get a seat
Why Princess did not use the club Fusion for the entertainer who had been on the theatre one night , put them on in the Fusion next night it would have made it easier for people to get in the theatre.

The staff & cabin stewards excellent.
We are Platinum to which gave us a little extra like1000 minutes of internet free & invites
To little party, but sorry Princess cruise line we will not be cruising with you again .
