14 day Norway and Iceland Sky Princess 25 June- 9 July 2022

Shambolic start to the holiday due to late arrival of the ship. We were ‘stored’ along with hundreds of other passengers in the departure lounge for 2 hours…. Full of unmasked coughing people.
We were given $50 per person OBC as compensation.
Pitiful amount and to be honest the shops onboard were poor, so we literally struggled to spend all of our on board credit.
It was a nice ship and it was the best vegetarian food I’ve been presented with on a Princess Cruise to date (this was our 6th Princess cruise)
The Medallion App didn’t work as it was supposed to and lots of people were complaining about lack of WiFi even though they’d paid for it (we didn’t bother with it).
When we booked our holiday PCR tests were being offered FREE by Princess. By the time our trip came around this was no longer the case and we had to pay £30 per person for an observed LFT 3 days prior to departure or $60 each at the port). Princess response to my complaint was essentially ‘tough, circumstances have changed you have to pay for the tests now).
Pointless accepting LFT’s 3 days prior to sailing. We travelled by coach with passengers on different cruise company who were not required to test and did not need to wear masks.
No logic and immense frustration.
Covid was rife on the ship despite having to wear masks on our cruise. Most probably caught it within 3 days of boarding or in the departure lounge.
We booked a balcony room – When I checked the price of a mini suite just days before the cruise the price difference was minimal. So.. I asked for an upgrade and was told that this would be £600 per person… because that’s how much it would have been at the time of booking!
Notice the inconsistency between PCR testing costs and wanting an upgrade?
I am furious and will NEVER book a Princess Cruise again.
