Another great cruise

Great cruise to the Canary Islands on 19/10/22. Embarkation very smooth and onboard by 12.30. We did have to change our cabin E438 after two days as there were loud creaking and banging noises heard 24/7 and after two days it was unbearable. The move was dealt with swiftly and we settled in to our new cabin R5443. We were told by our cabin steward Nonato that the section including E438 is rnound for this problem and passengers in that section are frequently moved.

Staff onboard were amazing as always. Food was very good especially the ‘chocolate journey’ desserts. Entertainment was good except for the comedians. The theatre shows Five Skies and Rock Opera were outstanding as was guest entertainers Phillip Browne and Siobhan Phillips. The entertainments team did a great job keeping us all entertained.

The ship itself was lovely however the layout is not as nice as the Regal or Royal Princess. There is no Crooners bar on the Sky. The Good Spirits bar is one of the busiest but has the smallest seating capacity and is standing room only most nights. The photography area adjacent to this bar is wasted space and should be used for seating or another bar as in other ships. There was a lot of entertainment in the Piazza day and night which was very good and standing room only on the staircases. There is dead space adjacent to the ‘five live’ venue who would adequately house the photography department.

All in all a great cruise, back on the Sky same time next year where I am hoping the rumours are true that during her refit in April/May they will add a crooners bar and address the lack of seating in the upstairs Piazza area.
