Med cruise

Overall we had a wonderful holiday and it was good to be able to meet people again.
The Medallion app was very poor. I think it requires a lot of tweaking before it works efficiently. The door entry function was brilliant.
On embarkation we found most venues already booked up even though we had no access before. It’s no use having any time dining if all times between 6.30 and 8.30 are full for entire cruise. Why let people book! Surely the whole point is that you join a queue when ready. Why not do same as P & O and let people join a virtual queue on the app. That way you just get a text when table ready – no standing around or pagers involved.
The entertainment could have been better, but Aaron, the entertainment director was excellent at his job. He is an asset to the Company.
Could you not give guests small maps of ship on embarkation, this would make our navigation of ship simple.
Although the Sky Princess is a fairly new ship, I found the decor a little dated. Shiny brown walls and brass fittings are old hat.
The staff were all excellent, but some of the waiters were a little abrupt.
The main issue I have is the food. What happened? Princess has always been a cut above. Equal to Cunard, but this time the food quality has really gone down hill. Not a vegetable to be seen and the only potatoes were chips.
As this was the first time cruise ships were being let in to port, and we were able to get off independently, it was very good.
Please just get the Medalion app sorted as we are with you again soon.
