We sailed with Regent Seven Seas Cruises on board Seven Seas Voyager.
Whilst we had a good holiday on board our ship we had a few disappointments with this holiday, at the beginning we booked a concierge suit with the understanding we would have a night in Rome before our cruise began. With the hotel being a 20/25 minute taxi ride out of the centre and considering it was bang in the middle of motorway junctions with nowhere else to walk to like bars, shops, restaurants we were along with other passengers sorely annoyed, the hotel itself was very nice but just not where we had been told we would be. We knew the ship was going in for a refit straight after this cruise but what we didn’t expect was that the shops on board closed down after a couple of days, people who had onboard credit were very annoyed as their credit could only be used in the spa and not everyone wanted that option.
After previously sailing with RSS we expected a lot more than we got, waiting times in the Compass Rose restaurant were very long for both the food and the sommeliers . Our Cabin suite was fine as well as our stewards. Some of the trips we went on were a little odd, just calling in somewhere just to walk to the beach and then back on the coach was a little baffling along with a sunset tour which was also a bus ride then a walk to a bar, then we didn’t actually see the sunset!
