on the day of departure there were 5 cruise ships departing from Southampton.
The city was gridlocked and we were pleased that we had booked the taxi from our overnight hotel at Botley 3 hours before the suggested boarding time..
Even with 5700 passengers of very mixed abilities on board we rarely felt constrained by the numbers.
Boarding and disembarkation , although well organised, are perhaps the incidents which we do not look forward to.
P & O’s Arvia being a new ship, is very well appointed and is well maintained.
Staff were excellent.

Food was excellent in the main Dining Room and Self Service restaurant .The Limelight Club was a disappointment as view of the stage was obstructed by pillars and the food was not up to the Main Restaurant.
No apology was received following our complaint.
The balcony cabin on deck 5, was bright and Clean and well appointed.
but lacking any drawer space!! perhaps better in upper grade cabins.
In the theatre, we enjoyed the Headliners performances ,but other events were not as good as previous cruises.
Excursions were well organised and enjoyable.
Value for money Excellent.
