Our first cruise with Fred since before Covid and third time on Balmoral.
Looking forward to it as the standards on our last cruise were excellent.
We were, therefore disappointed to find the sharpness of service in general had slipped and the ship seemed short-staffed in areas, creating longer waiting times for service.
The crew worked their socks off, but on occasions could not keep up with busy periods.
The Colours speciality Restaurant was excellent in food and service though, giving an enjoyable experience.
We had a good time with our friends, but sadly not the cruise we expected in terms of service and quality, hence the average rating.
