We sailed on Queen Anne in December after reading a lot of differing views on what to expect but took the view to make up our own minds from our own experience.
The ships interior is bright with a modern neutral decor which looks fantastic, it was fully kitted out for Christmas on our cruise which only added to the enjoyment and was done very well.
Cabins were clean with a small but well laid out bathroom.
We found all staff to be friendly and helpful throughout the ship.
Entertainment was very good with quality shows and interesting guest speakers, (The Royal Court Theatre Shows Were Outstanding)
We can’t see what all the fuss is about with the Queens Room, It may look slightly different but is just as enjoyable with all the normal events taking place in there.
For dining we were in Britannia Club which was a smaller more intimate experience than the MDR, the menu is just the same, we are both vegetarians so as well as the options on the main menu have your own separate menu as well as a vegan menu to choose from, added up there’s nearly 20 or so dishes to chose from.

The Artisan food court has a great selection to choose from during breakfast, lunch and dinner, the new style service where you don’t serve yourself is a definite step in the right direction.
However as with everything there are always some negatives, for the Britannia Club dining the food was served way too cold for our liking, it was like this throughout the cruise.
The coffee in the Artisan Food Court wasn’t up to much so had to have tea which was ok.
One of the highlights on our cruise stops was going to be Lisbon, we never got there, although this was no fault on Cunard it was still disappointing, two further replacement ports also got cancelled due to technical faults of the ship, although these things do happen we felt Cunard didn’t try that hard to fulfil the itinerary.
The stability of the ship was being called into question by a lot of people onboard, we’d have to agree with this, she rocked, she rolled and shook far beyond what you would expect for the state of sea, there was also a lot of creaking and groaning in the cabin coming from the structure itself , this was most noticeable at night.
All in all we had a great time on Queen Anne, would we sail on her again….
