Overall we had a lovely cruise.
Flight and embarkation were fine.
Arvia is a nice modern ship and the cabin was one of the nicest we have experienced.
We did find the majority of the staff were very serious, at time almost robotic as though they were just following a script.
We have never experienced this on any ship before.
Food was mainly good although we did have to return the roast sirloin as it was supposed to be medium but was served extremely rare.
Personally we didn’t like the sky dome finding it very loud and humid.
Why was the roof closed on 30 degree sunny days? Buffet could be very chaotic at busy times.
Requires more organisation.
We even witnessed a very angry chef due to the lack of lettuce .
The Quays was very pleasant to sit outside for breakfast, but were amazed that they are unable to serve toast.
When we questioned this we were told to get it from the buffet, 8 floors up.
Surely toast is a breakfast staple.
Entertainment was at best average.
Ports and excursions, some with P and O and some independently, were all excellent.
Overall we found the cruise good value for money but it is evident cut back have been made.
Having said that a smile costs nothing so maybe it is just an issue of staff training.
