The ship felt tired and disappointing

Without a shadow of doubt this was the worst cruise we have experiended since we started cruising.

Having sailed on the Anne in Oct 2024 and had such a great time we were shocked to find how far downhill this ship has gone.

First of all from the minute we stepped on board it soon became obvious the company objective was to squeeze every last dollar out of you they could get.

To save time I will just summerise the main complaint points.

1).

Evening theatre show times 7-45pm to 8-30pm and 9-45pm to 10-30pm.

with our evening dinner time in the Britannia Restaurant being 8-15pm to doors closing at 8-30pm attending the first show was ruled out and not finishing dinner until after 10pm meant the 9-45pm show was ruled out, unless we cut out desert and coffee.

2).

Quality of food in the Britannia was way way below anything we have previously experienced on a Cunard ship, eg portions miniscule and often under cooked, cold and served late with one night starters served at 8-55pm.

All this down to a lack of over streched waiters having to cope with food very slow to come out of the kitchen.

Gala evening menus exactly same as normal evening menus.

The buck for all this stops with the executive chef, one of which we never saw or heard of.

3).

A destinct lack of waiters and bar staff meaning often having to wait 20+ minutes for a drink.

4).

Fact, a high proportion of waiters in the buffet were more interested in talking and looking at their phones than clearing tables and some making it very obvious they were NOT happy in a serving environment.
Cunard have always been our prefered choice and we have two future cruises booked with them, but, if this level of service is repeated then without doubt the association will end.
