WOW WOW WOW!!!! The Allure Of The Seas is the most amazing spectacular ship I have ever seen.
I was so privileged to go on the Allure and would recommend it to anyone.
You never felt like you were on a ship and because of the open air feel to it you felt like you could have been anywhere other than at sea.
It was an amazing experience and the 3 days which I had on board was certainly not enough time to enjoy the ship and all the facilities.
During my stay I got the opportunity to visit the Galley.
You do not realise what goes on to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, it was immaculate.
I also visited the bridge which was interesting to see how it all works – the thing that surprised me most was the size of the steering wheel – it was no bigger than a playstation wheel!! What can I say – the food and service was excellent.
We dined each evening in the Adagio main restaurant and the choice was fantastic, something for all tastes – I even had Escargot! The alternative to traditional was casual dining at the Windjammer.
There were 6 different restaurants for breakfast, and 7 for lunch.
Both buffet and a la carte available.
We tried to get into Ritas Catina for a Mexican but there was a one hour and 50 minute wait, a very popular choice, as it was only open for 3 and half hours a day, although I think this was only the case for our cruise.
Johnny Rockets was a great alternative of which we only had to wait for 15 minutes.
Fantastic atmosphere and the food was delicious and plenty of it! As this cruise was a prize there was no charge for anything on board other than a cupcake at $2.50 and a starbucks at $1.75.
The entertainment was fantastic highly organised and plenty to do.
We watched one of the ice shows which was well performed and very entertaining.
We also watched part of Chicago which was great.
There were plenty of daytime activities to keep you occupied which included mini golf, table tennis, a cards room, a carousel along with Flow Rider and the Zip Line which were busy from open til close of them.
I preferred to watch both rather than take part – the drop on the Zip Line was too high for my liking! The jazz club was good but we only went in for a quick look and it was quite full.
We also visited On Air which was an interactive and Karaoke, the compare was very funny and enjoyed telling people that they couldn’t sing!! We also ventured to the nightclub Blaze which played a good choice of music, Boleros which was Latin themed and a fab place for dancing.
The Bow & Stern pub, the Champagne bar and the Rising Tide Bar which moves up and down between deck 5 and deck 8.
Do not be put off by the size of her and the amount of passengers she carries.
The ship was almost at full capacity whilst I was on board but you would never have thought it as there was plenty of space.
Allure of the Seas comes very highly recommended.
