Took the Ireland/Iceland cruise recently.
First time back on Celebrity for a few years.
We prefer Azamara now and found the bigger ship a bit daunting, especially the crowded OceanviewCafe Food was good, entertainment in the theatre excellent, as much bigger than Azamara’s cabaret lounge.
Stateroom attendant was brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us, although he was obviously overworked due to staffing cutbacks.
Ports of call excellent, though we were disappointed to miss St Peter Port, especially when we heard other ships had gone ahead and managed the tendering!! Weather was fantastic in Iceland especially and the warmer clothes were not needed.
Excursions were good but long.
Alas the sea days were mainly cool, wet and slightly choppy on one day, but these things can’t be helped.
There is a lack of officer visibility on the bigger ships, though the crew were extremely friendly and polite.
We will still be sticking with Azamara where we can though.
