The ship is older but still very nice.
Boarding was very easy and stress free at Southampton.
Room was clean and tidy kept so by our very good steward Jose.
This cruise was for our 40th wedding anniversary which was couple days before we left.
Picked particularly for the ports in Lithuania, Latvia and also some very different ports in Sweden and Denmark.
The service in the meridian restaurant was excellent Conrad and Ja our waiters so obliging the food possibly best we have had for a long time on a cruise.
Shout out to wine waiter and bar staff excellent quick service.
Food in buffet on the whole good but a bit limited on some days for me as I don’t eat meat.
No problems getting a table at breakfast or lunch didn’t eat in there in the evening.
We fully intended to try Sindhu but we enjoyed meridian so much we didn’t bother next cruise possibly.
We enjoyed all the ports particularly Frederica beautiful town free little train from port to centre although very walkable if able and beach the people lovely they put a band on as we arrived and left port wonderful.
Visby was gorgeous beautiful roses and mid summer celebrations little train was fun.
The only downside was missing klaipeda so disappointing we had booked a lunch and tour.
Communication on the reason was very poor operational issues a lot of upset people.
Us included we couldn’t get into wamunde either but understood as this was weather related.
We had 3 days in stockholm made the best of it as we have been fortunate to have visited several times.
We took a ships boat trip first day I recommend excellent guide.
Abba museum we did on our own steam next day fab and 3rd day we walked shopped in old town.
Riga we had a private tour beautiful city would like to return.
Then to Copenhagen for overnight it rained first day people said a lot issues with the shuttle our friends had to wait a long time and got soaked.
We were okay.
Next day took shuttle then walked to little mermaid beautiful day and lovely lunch by the canal.
The entertainment on board was excellent well done stevie and team headliners fab great acts Benjamin moss very good comedian very funny John Evans vynalettes superb Susana very talented.
Fred dineage talk on krays interesting 2 talks on Abba and on the Beatles very good.
Had a lovely cruise but P&0 some reception and tour staff need training in customer service don’t like to complain but they need take note of waiting and bar staff treat customers.
Pulse was good in globe and Defon the bar waiter what a star 10 out of 10 for service.
