There was a lot to like on this cruise

Disappointed in the cutbacks and general standards of our recent cruise.

We experienced poor organisation of port transport, people having to wait to be picked up by coaches in very high temperatures whilst 7 coaches were waiting empty at the ship , very poor transport management .

Declining standards of enforcing dress codes in restaurants .

Children allowed to run amock, diving and jumping in the pool accompanied by very foul language with no controls in place or enforcement of safety standards.

It appears that P&O have reduced their standards in an effort to save money , no second visit to the cabin and turn down service and little niceties such as the pillow chocolates ,bathrobes etc.

No drinking chocolate in cabin, no toiletries except shampoo, not even a bar of soap The Sindu restaurant was not open ,presumably due to lack of staff.

No after dinner chocolates every night ,now reduced to formal evenings only.

No port infused Stilton cheese.

You now have to take an unfinished bottle of table wine back to your cabin and then bring it back for the next meal whereas this was all dealt with by the wine waiter who ensured it was back on the table the next evening.

No nibbles served with drinks now.

I know that some customers will think these comments trivial but having traveled with P&O on many occasions you expect the standard and quality of service experienced on previous cruises to be the same.

Also I believe P&O have got their sales policy wrong ,after speaking with other passengers who were also commenting on the standards we found that they had paid over £1000 less for the same package.

So we will certainly be a little more enquiring before we consider P&O for a future cruise
