We did a 7 day Lisbon return on the Quest in late march, early april.
Compared to our previous Azamara cruises we were less than impressed.
The itinerary was changed the week before departure so we lost 2 calls in Morocco and got a day each in Almeria and Malaga and an extended day in Gibraltar.
The changes did not suit us and we would not have booked that itinerary in the first place.
We were offered no compensation or any opportunity to change to a later cruise or cancel.
US passengers were.
Almeria is and was not up to much.
The trip we took was not scenic unlees you like seeing miles of plastic covering veg and fruit growing areas of scrubland.
Malaga is fine but we have been several times.
The original short half day in Gib became a 10 hour stop.
Again we have been before, a short stop would have been ok.10 hours was way over the top.
Main dining room food was ok but unexceptional The WorldCafe the self service, was indifferent.
We paid $33 for a meal in Prime C.
The Chateaubriand wasn`t.
It was tenderloin, and cut thickly.
Desserts were spartan.
My wife only wanted ice cream-vanilla or chocoate only! You got better in the included food choice in the main dining room.
The shows were poor, all old material, presumably to avoid paying royalties.
The included wines were average to poor and are now inhouse labelled.
The staff were lovely but the product is not what it was.
It will need a good itinerary at an attractive price to get us back.
And 4 weeks on no reply yet to my critical letter to Azamara.
