There were good points, but service fell short

We have been on Britannia before and was looking forward to seeing her after her refit.

Although there is new carpet everywhere we couldn’t see that anything had been done to the cabins.

We were in D708 and the bathroom had mould all around the sealant in the shower and the whole bathroom looked dated and worn.

Our air conditions did not work and although we reported it and it was “fixed” it still didn’t work properly.

One of the highlights for us has always been the retreat, unfortunately this was a disappointment too.

You now can’t have any spa treatments in the havana, this has now been filled with table and chairs which were very rarely used.

They have taken out some of the sofas and chairs and added more sun beds which makes it feel crowded not “special” on 3 occasions I was at the retreat just after 8 to find that all the sunbeds under the shade had towels and books etc placed on them 90% of these beds were not used until after lunch !!!!!!! I find out the the Retreat is not locked so customers were going in at 7am to claim their beds, going out for the morning and using the retreat in the afternoon.

I did complain to the staff and they in turn complained to the spa but absolutely nothing was done.

The staff were amazing but in some areas they did not have enough staff – in the crows nest for example – some nights we had to wait a long time to have our order taken.

The entertainment was not very good compared to our previous stays on the ship – some nights people were walking out half way through a show.
