Service in Meridian restaurant was terrible, so slow that we had to leave without dessert one night as we had a theatre booking.
Service a little better in Peninsular restaurant but still slow.
On the first formal night the service in the restaurant was dire, so slow, slow, slow.
My holiday app was not easy to use.
Very often when we tried to use it, it would not come up.
This was especially at busy times when trying to join a dining queue.
There was an awful smell in the corridors and stairwells in the cabin areas for over a week.
We mentioned this to one of the officers but it still persisted up to us disembarking the ship, so nothing had been done about it.
We did not mind the one visit a day by the cabin steward as we understand the reason why.
But the cleanliness of the cabin was not to P&O’s normal standard, and I feel the reason for this is because the cabin stewards did not have enough time to complete their duties due to staffing levels being inadequate.
Menus were disappointing, choice options reduced.
Not enough waiters.
Especially at the deck bars.
We ended up having to go to the bar and then they insisted on bringing the drinks to our table.
On several occasions getting the order slightly wrong.
The entertainment, on the whole, was not up to P&O’s usual high standard.
It was below par.
Some act were really good but others disappointing.
No complimentary water in the cabin.
Lots of the usual P&O touches were missing.
