Trip was a nightmare.
Was suspicious when we were sanitised twice before getting on ship.
On evening of 4th day Captain announced there were case of GI on ship.
Early next morning my wife was very sick.
As requested she reported it to medical centre and was confined to cabin.
On evening of day 6 we received a brown envelope stating that due to airline policy because not allowing people to travel within 48 hrs our flights home had been cancelled and that we would have to arrange and pay for return flights.
On going to reception the senior officer just pointed at the paper and said contact sky scanner.
There were people in the queue in tears because they had no money or knowledge of how to book a flight.
I decided the best option was to book a return flight ASAP.
We later received a call from p&o asking them if we would like them to book us a transfer we said yes.
At 10.30 we were escorted from our room and had to drag our cases along the corridor past trays and trolleys.
At the gang plank we had to disembark with no help.
My wife is 71.
We then had to drag our cases along the quayside instead of through they terminal.
The officer who had dealt with us the previous night was there.
He made no attempt to engage with us .
Not even a how are you is everything ok.
We were treated like criminals.
To add insult to injury when we arrived at airport we were charged 92euros for the cab.
Overall p&o s treatment of passengers was disgusting.
No sympathy was shown to any customers seeing that the illness was not our fault.
The is an abridged version of events.
A longer one was submitted to P&O.
Unfortunately we return to Azura in 9 weeks we are not looking forward to it.
