This cruise had strengths, but also flaws

Despite having a fairly good time the previous excellent standards and service were not provided or met on this cruise.

This was our 7th cruise with P&O and there was a clear difference in what we were offered and what was actually delivered and provided.

Longer serving staff were providing “on the job” training to new and junior staff.

This caused a lot of confusion in the restaurants in the evenings.

We were on many occasions shown to a wrong table, or the waiter could not find the table.

Very embarrassing for staff and ourselves.

We were asked if we wished drinks at the table but the bar waiters never returned.

There just did not appear to be good communication amongst staff.

Maitre-D needs to return.

Reception staff were extremely rude, something never experienced previously.

Entertainment staff absolutely awful.

Very few sail always and when they were held were repetitive.

Entertainment staff not introduced until day three of the cruise.

Majority of staff working extremely hard but P&O appear to be losing sight of their values.

Offering excellent services and standards but really failing to meet them which is very sad.

Speaking with fellow passengers the majority were of the same opinion and the issues I have highlighted appeared to be the topic of many discussions.

I believe lots of the long service staff have been moved to Iona and Arvia leaving the other ships in the fleet to become training grounds for new staff and providing lower standards.
