Second time on the Iona, second time disembarking with poor health.
I lost my last day at port feeling ill (I suspected food poisoning), but when I couldn’t get up and medical centre was closed (opening times are scarce!), my Mum went down to reception.
When the medical centre finally called they told me I’d caught Gastroenteritis and that I’m spending my last night in quarantine…
My body is slowly recovering, took about a week to eat normal again.
My Mum on her last night was running between my cabin, reception and medical center trying to make sure they supply me at least the basics!
Service in the ‘free’ restaurants was absolutely terrible, and the food buffet where I got ill was CRAMMED full of people.
I honestly felt like staff didn’t care though that I’d gotten ill, and communication was terrible between the staff.
