This cruise had strengths, but also flaws

We had a lovely New Years cruise despite the changes implemented by P&O.

Dining is chaotic.

The seated dining room is empty and freedom dining hopeless because of the useless App that doesn’t work most of the time.

Most specialty restaurants full for the entire 2 weeks when in reality they are only half full.

We were told it was a Covid measure but this clearly didn’t apply to the main restaurants and buffet!! Food was mediocre and you had to pay extra to go to the Epicurian restaurant to get the type of food that was once standard.

Buffet like a scrum because only one side was open.

Same dishes served every day little variety.

Service poor.

We waited 15 minutes one morning for milk and butter to be brought to the table( table only half set when we arrived).

This was a common problem.

Too few staff and some serious staff training needed.

Having to pre-book shows took away any choice of time and spontaneity if you were lucky enough to get the app to work.

Entertainment mediocre.

Dated shows with poor singing.

Several drinks ran out at the end of the first week and weren’t replenished including most types of white wine , bottled and draught beer.

P&O need to get their act together.

We have been on many P&O cruises and this did not live up to our previous experiences.

We only managed to get a sunbed once on a 2 week cruise because nobody enforced the sunbed policy.
