We have sailed on Britannia on 3 different cruises this year,
New year in the Caribbean ,, April to the Ffjords and May to Scandinavia.
The food menu wasn’t up to standard, with fancy names for the items , but what you actually got was a poor selection
The refit was new carpets , some new chairs in the lounges , and new sun beds round the pool area, not much of a refit as these items were badly needed,
The cabin staff and waiters in all areas really did work hard and very polite.
The Horizon buffet , the food was a good selection at breakfast and lunch, we never went in the evenings so can’t comment on that, but what was annoying, was to find at most times one side would be closed so had to use other side which then was very crowded.
One thing we would like to suggest is that the “close doors sign on the lifts is disconnected permanently “ many guest find great pleasure to enter the lifts and close the doors immediately, so that anyone that is immobile can not get to the open lift before someone presses the close button.
Do they not realise or do not want to that the doors will close auto , when on a ship no one can go anywhere in a hurry.
The cabins are beginning to look in need of updating as they are getting very shabby,
We have done many P&O cruises since Covid but now will be trying other cruise lines .
We consider P&O have continued to cut corners, and the result is many loyal customers are far from happy with the cut backs.
