After the sale of the company there are changes that are becoming more evident.
We last cruised with Azamara in August 2023 and since then we noticed that the senior crew don’t seem to be as welcoming and happy with their lot.
Examples of this are when arriving on the ship and leaving either there were no crew welcoming us/saying goodbye or if someone in uniform was there they gave the impression that they didn’t want to be! All the waiting staff and cabin staff were their normal happy and helpful selves which was nice to see.
The company seems to have stopped having outside entertainers coming on board and so we only had the resident dance/singing staff all the time which could be a bit samey.
The comments form which usually appears in our cabin half way through the cruise did not materialise at all so giving the impression again that maybe they don’t care if we are happy with things or that they have the opportunity of improving matters.
They did send the usual email at the end of the cruise for comments though.
The Azamara Circle event which recognises those that have cruised before was advertised as lasting one hour only lasted 30 minutes.
Unfortunately we did feel not quite as loved as we have on previous cruises which is such a shame.
We have booked another cruise with Azamara as we do like the ships, the ports visited and especially the food which is still very good but I do hope that too much cost cutting does not spoil the enjoyment of what was a great company.
