We are experienced cruisers and we had said we would never be inclined to sail on a massive ship such as Iona.However the need for a holiday won and we booked an inside cabin on deck 4 leaving May 7th.
The lengthy embarkation process was well managed, the cabin was more than adequate and the initial impression was very good.
The entertainment was varied, excellent and the food in all included venues was much better than we had on some other ships.
The weather was not good and it was not possible to enter the Fjord and visit Olden however the remaining visits were quiet but this was usual.
The ship is beautiful, crew politely efficient and kept everything very clean and it was a pleasure to stroll round and enjoy the views.
The shopping is typical of similar cruise ships and didn’t provide much temptation to us to buy.
We loved the ship so much we have booked another cruise on her for October.
