Unfortunately after La Caruna we hit some of the worse weather we have encountered in 30 odd years even the captain agreed with us so we had to abort the visit to Bermuda, no fault of the company weather is weather.
It meant 11 days at sea!! We agree with a lot of people that there was a lot of new staff on board and some were not sure about some things but if you can be patient they are excellent.
At the end of the day we all have to learn.
Food was definitely not up to there normal standards?? Less choice and some vegetables not cooked properly but we told our waiter and they immediately brought something in place of it.
The main problem we found was in the buffet, the trays have been removed with the excuse it was to save food wastage (quoted by the captain).
Whoever thought this was a good idea should come on board and watch, we saw people spill soup across the floor as they returned to there table, have you tried carrying a bowl of hot soup a roll and a dish of butter? The other problem ws the waiters they were making 2 or 3 journey’s to clear a table, they can collect much more crockery on trays.
Our only other complaint was the the length of time everyone had to stand in a queue at border control in New Orleans, we had to stand for 2hours and 40 minutes with no opportunity to sit down or use toilet facilities we are older citizens and my wife almost passed out, a security guard (American) noticed and gave up her chair till we reached the customs.
Yes we will cruise again and have other cruises booked but would not go to USA again.
To summarise we enjoyed the cruise apart from the couple of things mentioned, the staff were very good and do try there best.
