Really looked forward to our cruise, which was enjoyable BUT, we felt that the ship was underwhelming in comparison to Victoria and Mary.
The atruim was fine but nothing spectacular and the Queens Room was much smaller and far less impressive, particularly with people constantly walking through to other venues.
We were more than happy with the stateroom 8029 and the modern layout, especially the shower size and fittings with complimentary toiletries.
The twice daily stateroom visits by the stewards, again is a nice touch along with the evening chocolates! The freedom dining was fine and it was a welcome change to have so many tables for 2 allocated for meals.
The food quality, selection and number of courses was good but we did notice how the main courses have been reduced in size – maybe not a bad thing!! The evening entertainment was probably the least impressive we have seen, particularly with regard to the ships own entertainment crew but the specialty acts saved the day, otherwise really disappointing!! The itinerary was o.k.
but we expected much more in the way of sailing through the actual Fjords.
If we hadn’t taken a private excursion we would have never seen a waterfall or high mountains but at least the Northern Lights were spectacular!!
