Me and my family cruised to Norway on the 30th Oct.
Having cruised many times with two other companies we were expectant as to what P&O had to offer.
We were very disappointed overall.
We had no hot water for 3 days in the shower.
Then very little water in the basin and every time we ran the tap black bits came out.
The dining app was a joke. The food in Medina was cold most of the time.We never had a hot drink on the ship unless we payed.
The T/C stations were out of use at some meals times.
We booked an afternoon tea.
We were embarrassed for the staff not enough sandwiches for the number of guests they then had to make sandwiches out of the soft rolls.
All the cakes/scones tasted the same.
There was not enough information available about the ports and I felt sorry for first time cruisers as the didn’t know what to expect.
The Captain and officers were not very visible throughout and some guest did see the Northern lights but no notification or announcements to others.
Our intinerary was changed in Alta so we missed one chance of seeing the lights and as a result we had more time at sea and the extra time in Stravanger was no suitable to most as we arrived at 6pm and left the next afternoon.
The entertainment was very good especially the Headliners.
Our waiter Allen was excellent.
Many guests who were regulars on P&O were also complaining and I feel let down.
