Having recently returned from what was essentially a fabulous cruise, it is time for reflection.
The ship, crew, itinerary and food were exactly to our liking and without fault.
However, the flights arranged by the provider were very poor..
the times and connections having been changed several times before departure, the final flights and the connections weren’t do-able.
We missed our connecting flight due to airport delays beyond our control, causing an unnecessarily stressful start to our holiday.
The ground crew were excellent and rebooked flights and we managed to arrive in time to join the cruise, but it was an experience that we would never want to repeat.
The other detraction from the cruise was that it was completely geared to the American market ..
there were 79 British people of a 1000 passengers.
Therefore, despite the cruise on paper being perfect for us we would not return to Viking Ocean Cruises.
