** The cruise was delightful.
The crew were always pleasant and helpful.
** We’d asked for a table of 8 but it seemed that the restaurant managers were determined that anybody not in a party sat at their own table.
We did join a table of 6 after requesting a move.
** The waiters were always patient and helpful.
The managers gave the impression that they didn’t want to know us.
** The band in the Queen’s Room were very good but the male and female singers were not so good.
The show dancers and singers worked very hard and it showed in their 1st class shows.
The Watsons (a husband and wife duo) were EXCELLENT and couldn’t be faulted.
** The evening meals were not brilliant and where were the chicken meals?!! ** Ports of call weren’t very interesting but we enjoyed the train ride in Skagway.
** Tours.
We booked onto the sea plane excursion so we were very disappointed as it was cancelled.
We weren’t told why, nor was there any apology.
We went on a walking tour in Victoria.
The tour guide (Brian) was a nice guy, and very knowledgeable BUT it wasn’t a walking tour of Victoria, it was a tour that Brian liked.
We heard a LOT about Emily the painter and stood outside her house for FAR too long.
We hardly touched Victoria.
He also told us all the wrong place to pick up the shuttle bus.
