I’ve just returned from a fabulous cruise to Norway and Iceland on the lovely Aurora.
This ship never fails me and even when full to capacity she is so spacious, with no overcrowding anywhere.
The atmosphere, as always, is a mixture of elegance and relaxation but with a few exceptions, namely, people not adhering to the evening dress code and this not being enforced.
This was my first visit to Iceland and where, surprisingly, we had the best weather of the cruise.
The scenery was breathtaking with the air being very clean and bracing.
I took several excursions, which are necessary to experience the beauty of Iceland, but I did feel these were overpriced, although I appreciate Iceland is an expensive country.
However, this was a one-off trip for me, so it was worth it.
I enjoyed the club dining experience in the Alexandria Restaurant, and the entertainment was equally enjoyable, with excellent performances from the Headliners theatre group and some very good guest entertainers.
I have been loyal P&O customer for 59 years and I already have six future cruises booked – on Aurora, of course!
