Easy check in with friendly staff ( although we were advised at check in that cabin would be ready, on boarding we were told 2 pm, not a problem as only 30 mins).
It was a lovely day so made our way up to pool bar for cold drink and grabbed a roll and cheese and sat in the sun.
Perfect! Our cases arrived quickly so was able to unpack while my OH was still in the sun and before safety drill.
All very efficient.
Food and service throughout excellent.
Staff mainly very friendly but one or two were surly.
The disembarkation at Fowey was dreadful We did not see the end of the queue so decided go for coffee, eventually went about 12:45 and got off quite easily had a short walk around beautiful Fowey and a pasty and a pint then joined the queue to get back to the ship! well we were not too bad as almost at the quayside but when I looked the whole village was a queue, the locals were coming out to see what was going on! The harbour master was the only one to give us any updates and he was blaming Ambassadors for only taking 85at a time.
I understand some people were in the queue for 2 hours! Didn’t get off the next day in the morning as had a trip booked in th afternoon and did not want the same to happen and miss our trip.
After that they seemed to get the tendering organised and we had no issues.
Entertainment was excellent from the singers and dancers who were outstanding to the comedian and guest speaker.
The only thing was the actors at the start of the round the world show.
It was weak and not funny, we almost left ( as other people did) as it was childish but so glad we stayed as the show team were fantastic.
We enjoyed the games and quizzes although some of the music ones definitely missed the demographic on board! Rap was definitely not our thing! when we tried to change papers to mark everyone around us had given up.
The cabins are clean and comfortable but are showing their age.
However, the amount of storage is something you do not get on modern ships.
The only other gripe was that on our last sea day the usual bed hoggers came into force ! I have no issue with saving your bed to have lunch or swim but some were left for hours and nothing was done.
I know it’s hard to deal with selfish people but if some towels were removed by staff it might just help.
overall we had a wonderful cruise at reasonable price.
I can’t wait to go back on her in a few weeks.
