We booked a great value balcony obstructed view cabin (CA grade) on the 4-night cruise to Amsterdam on the beautiful Queen Elizabeth.
Check in was fairly smooth, with us being on board in just over an hour, including Covid testing.
The ship is truly stunning, our stateroom was immaculate and kept spotless at all times.
Dinner in the Britannia restaurant was superb and breakfast, both in the restaurant and from room service was excellent.
The only thing that let the trip down was the buffet, with often limited selections and the staff less than enthusiastic some of the time.
We arrived in Amsterdam at 3pm on the Thursday not leaving until the early hours of Saturday morning and we were able to come and go from the ship easily and at all hours, we made use of room service at 3am after a night out in Amsterdam, which came quickly, tasty and piping hot.
On the return sailing we had an amazing pub lunch in the Golden Lion (tip, get there before 12noon to get a seat) and then experienced the fabulous pomp of afternoon tea in the Queens Room (tip get there at least 15 minutes before 3pm to avoid standing in a queue for half an hour) – The theatre shows were fantastic and the music around the ship was great.
We also braved the hot tubs at the aft, despite the snow piled up on deck and the sleety/snow showers.
Overall, had a fantastic cruise on a stunning ship.
