After every cruise I draft a review then discard it as being too critical.
No such criticism on this cruise.
This was more like our early cruises, none of this pile ‘m high attitude of the likes of P &O and Princess.
Overall probably the most likeable and pleasant crew we have ever encountered.
Our stewardess was an absolute delight.
None of this anytime dining nonsense but 2 fixed sittings and a full regular table of 7 every night.
The Dining Room food was various and first class and there was no ‘bunfight’ in the Buffet which was well organised and partly served.
For the wife’s birthday we booked Afternoon Tea which we thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend.
Over the years we have had our fill of Dance classes, Bridge classes and Ukuele classes but we found a various selection of speakers, not necessarily quite to our taste but good enough to pass the odd hour or two.
This was only our 4th Fred Olsen cruise in over 20 years and we seemed to remember some excellent entertainment This time it wasn’t bad but we were somewhat disappointed.
From what we experienced in 17 days it is hard to understand why we haven’t done more cruising with Fred.
This cruise was far, far superior in any cruising we have done in the last 10 years and we will be very happy to renew our acquaintance with Bolette and Fred Olsen at any time.
