The overall planning by Travel 2 was excellent with airport pickups, transfers etc working smoothly, especially after long flight to Hanoi.

The Hanoi and Halong Bay tours were excellent and the guides knowledgable and easy to understand.
The river cruise was outstanding, the shore trip organisation worked like clockwork as 90 people debarked almost every day for either on the water or ashore adventures.
The guides stayed with us throughout the cruise, changing for Cambodian guides as necessary.
The highlight for my wife was Halong Bay, fantastic scenery, great food and a stunning small ship.
For me the memories of Siem Reap and the temples was A1 bucket list stuff although our guide did a really excellent job taking us through the dark times of the Khmer Rouge.

The food on the river boat was somewhat hit and miss.
The staff were lovely, helpful and always very willing.
The only worrying issue was the seemingly large number of passengers suffering from varying degrees of gastroenteritis such that some of us visited hospital in Sa Dec and in one case overnight on a drip in Ho Chi Minh city.
