We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise.
We have been on a couple of other ships, Allure of the Seas being one I think, with Central Park.
I would love to go back on that ship but it just wasn’t available in the week that we needed to go.
It obviously is a bigger ship that does provide more areas, such as the aerial water shows, and I love the Central Park area with the conservatory type area on the top and the area with the little bridge that you go over lower down.
We prefer one week at a time unless flying further afield, but even then just 9/10 nights.
This time we stayed fairly local, as we have done this area of the med before and been on some tours, used to live for a while and have travelled in Spain and spent a week in Rome before.
We found this time of year a bit too, busy, a week before the children break up from school in the UK but different for other countries and are hoping for another trip this October before half term.
We like the fact there are people from all over the world and met some very nice people from Norway, China, Canada, New Zealand etc.
We particularly love the entertainment.
I personally wish there was more dancing shows but understand the need to provide variety with magicians etc.
The Pianist Richard Rubin was outstanding!!!!! His quirky, full of fun hilarious character, delivery and masterful ways with that piano had me mesmerised.
My husband returned to the cabin at midnight and I continued on, I felt very safe to return to my cabin on my own, that’s what’s great also, no taxis and dark nights.
I could have stayed until they were hovering the next morning, if he had continued to play and felt honoured to have been lucky enough to have seen him, especially in such an intimate lounge area as I hear he has dine large stage/TV shows.
The food was excellent and we sampled the fine dining package and the drink package.
The Service was brilliant and we were in the Galileo Restaurant served by Raoel an Assistant Waiter who should now be made waiter! Can’ t wait to sail again!!!
