We have recently returned from a weeks fly cruise holiday with the family on the liberty of the seas .
overall the ship was very good .
positives – there was a lot to do on the ship for teenagers,ice skating, rock climbing , surfing, arcade games, cinema etc.
not once did I hear “what can we do now “.The ship was well laid out with a good use of the space available (P &O take note ) and the windjammerCafestretched all along the back of the ship and we could always get a seat.
The cabin was good even with 4 of us in there we still had a bit of room .The cruise entertainment manager Rich worked his socks off and the Belly flop competition on the last day was very funny to watch.
Negatives- TheCafewasn’t open 24 hour it opened at 6 am shut at 5pm reopened at 6.15pm and then shut at 9pm till the next day , not good when you have been out on a trip all day and fancy a coffee and a cake to tide you over till dinner .
The food was good on the whole however the Americans don’t seem to do veg and the meals in the main dining room were spoiled somewhat by over attentive staff at times.
Some of the trips in port offered were expensive and the standard of tour guides ranged from excellent (Jon in Pisa and Florence) to shocking (the lady guide who showed us Rome).
However on the whole we enjoyed our holiday and we would go with Royal Caribbean again especially if we went as a family.
If it was just the two of us we would perhaps try P&O again .
