We could not fault the ship and staff on Viking Orion.
We have taken 6 river cruises with Viking and everything was excellent so decided to take an Ocean cruise.
Never again.
The problems stem from the shore teams and cause stress and disappointment.
The flight bookings team didn’t allow sufficient time for connecting flights despite me questioning this twice.
Out first flight was delayed by 25 minutes and we missed our connecting flight.
Contacted Viking to notify we weren’t on the original flight but nobody passed this on the reps in resort.
Included tours are a joke.
At best they were a school bus shuttle at worst they were marketed as do it on your own.
Ports were altered or removed and not replaced.
Disembarkation was chaotic and no Viking staff visible, I suspect they were hiding.
The excuse from the ship regarding the difference between the river cruise and ocean cruise experience was that they had been doing river cruises longer.
They started ocean cruises in 2015.
Is that not long enough to get it right?
