We had a few days in Bucharest before going on the Viking Lif.
The Sheraton hotel in Bucharest was excellent as well as the Kronwell Brasov hotel in Brasov.
The food on the Viking Lif was delicious, the cabin was very comfortable but having said that we only used it to go to bed as the Aquavit, the lounge (if it was raining), the upper deck were places we spent our time in when cruising.
All the stops were fantastic and I believe it had something to do with the excellent programme director we had “Leonard”.
In my opinion, he surpassed what we expected of him.
I really don’t know when he had time to sleep as he was first thing with his customers and seemed to be the last one to leave.
His preparation for the next day was at all time brilliant! Everything was done to perfection and his rapport with not only the customers but his colleagues was fantastic.
We both thoroughly enjoyed this particular cruise mostly because of all the activities, entertainment we had during our time on the ship and the charisma of all the personnel including the captain who had also a great personality.
We loved the included excursions and we had the opportunity to meet people in their own home and taste their food.
It was magical! I would recommend it to anyone.
Superb, wonderful and everyone got on well on board (Americans, Australians, Canadians, British) maybe because Leonard was bringing us together.
