Norwegian Cruise Line Reveals First Look at Great Tides Waterpark

Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled the first look at Great Tides Waterpark, the new attraction set to open on its private island, Great Stirrup Cay, on 4 September 2026.

Spanning almost six acres, the waterpark forms part of the cruise line’s wider transformation of Great Stirrup Cay, introducing new family attractions, dining venues and private cabanas designed to enhance the guest experience in the Bahamas.

What to Expect at Great Tides Waterpark

Great Tides Waterpark will offer attractions for guests of all ages, from adrenaline-fuelled waterslides to dedicated family play areas.

Among the highlights are Tidal Tower, home to a collection of thrilling waterslides, an almost 800-foot dynamic river, children’s splash zones and a range of attractions designed for younger guests. The waterpark will also feature private cabanas available to reserve for an upgraded experience.

New Dining Options

Guests visiting the waterpark will have access to several new dining venues.

Low Tide Smoke will serve barbecue favourites, while Catch of the Cay specialises in seafood. Those with a sweet tooth can stop by Tidal Treats for desserts and soft serve ice cream, with complimentary buffet dining also available throughout the waterpark.

Part of a Bigger Transformation at Great Stirrup Cay

The opening of Great Tides Waterpark is the latest milestone in Norwegian Cruise Line’s investment in Great Stirrup Cay.

Recent enhancements include the island’s new two-berth pier, making it easier for guests to step ashore, alongside new cabanas, the adults-only Vibe Shore Club and upgraded facilities across the private island.
