Princess Cruises will homeport in Barbados for its 2027 and 2028 Southern Caribbean seasons.
Read MorePrincess Cruises has announced the addition of Barbados as a homeport for its Southern Caribbean programmes in 2027 and 2028, giving guests more choice when planning their Caribbean cruise.
Travellers will now be able to choose between sailings roundtrip from San Juan, Puerto Rico, or roundtrip from Barbados, expanding the cruise line’s fly-cruise options in the region.
The programme includes more than 30 voyages visiting 15 destinations, with Crown Princess operating sailings between January and March 2027, followed by Emerald Princess from November 2027 through March 2028. Itineraries will range from six to nine nights, with the majority offering seven-night Caribbean cruises.
Adding Barbados as a homeport complements Princess Cruises’ existing San Juan departures and makes it easier for guests from the UK and Europe to join the sailings with direct flights to the island.
All itineraries will include a call to San Juan, while the wider programmes will visit a variety of Caribbean destinations including Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, Martinique, St Lucia, St Kitts and Tortola.
These Caribbean cruises can be packaged with direct flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham, creating convenient fly-cruise holiday options for the Southern Caribbean.
Eithne Williamson, Princess Cruises UK, Ireland & EMEA vice president, said: “Adding Barbados as a homeport to our Southern Caribbean programme provides greater choice and convenience to our guests travelling from the UK, as they can fly direct to join their Princess voyage.
“This expansion reflects the valued feedback we continue to receive from our travel agent partners. It reinforces our commitment to supporting them with growing their business with Princess by offering even more variety, greater convenience, and new ways for their customers to discover the Caribbean.”
