Princess Cruises Confirms New Voyager Class Ships
Princess Cruises has ordered three new Voyager class ships, set to launch from 2035, featuring next-generation design, LNG technology and enhanced onboard experiences.
Read MorePrincess Cruises has announced plans for a new class of ships, with three next-generation vessels on order as part of a major long-term fleet expansion.
The new Voyager class ships will be built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri and are scheduled for delivery in 2035, 2038 and 2039. Once complete, they will become the largest ships in the Princess Cruises fleet, each accommodating around 4,700 guests.
Designed to build on the success of the cruise line’s Sphere Class ships, including Sun Princess and Star Princess, the Voyager class will combine familiar guest-favourite features with new and reimagined spaces. Planned enhancements include redesigned outer decks, updated stateroom concepts and an evolved Piazza, all aimed at enhancing the onboard experience for a global audience.
The ships will also incorporate the latest marine and guest-facing technologies, with a strong focus on sustainability. Like the newest ships in the fleet, they will be powered primarily by liquefied natural gas (LNG), helping to significantly reduce emissions compared with traditional marine fuels.
Gus Antorcha, Princess Cruises President, commented: “The Voyager class will delight both our loyal guests and attract the next generation of Princess guests. From exceptional dining and inviting pool environments to elevated entertainment and beautifully reimagined spaces throughout the ship, we are leaving no area untouched as we thoughtfully evolve the Princess experience.”
