Princess Cruises has unveiled its 2028 World Cruise aboard Coral Princess, a 115-day journey visiting 49 destinations across five continents with overnight stays and UNESCO sites.

Departing on 3 January 2028, the cruise will sail roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale or Los Angeles, offering guests the chance to explore the world while unpacking just once. For travellers unable to join the full voyage, Princess Cruises is also offering a range of flexible segments between 20 and 100 days.
Sailing aboard the 2,000-guest Coral Princess, the itinerary will cover around 36,000 nautical miles and cross both the Equator and the International Date Line. The journey begins with a transit of the Panama Canal before heading to Hawaii and the islands of the South Pacific, including Samoa and Fiji.
The voyage continues to Australia and New Zealand, with calls in major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. From there, Coral Princess crosses the Indian Ocean to remote island destinations including Mauritius and Réunion Island before arriving in South Africa.
In South Africa, the ship will overnight in Cape Town and make its first-ever visit to Mossel Bay, a coastal town known for its beaches and rich history. The area is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring coastal caves that contain some of the earliest evidence of modern human behaviour, dating back more than 160,000 years.
The journey then continues north along Africa’s western coastline before entering the Mediterranean, with visits to destinations such as Barcelona, Sicily, Dubrovnik and Casablanca, before the ship crosses the Atlantic Ocean to return to North America.
The 2028 World Cruise also introduces expanded “More Ashore” experiences, giving guests additional time to explore destinations in greater depth. Highlights include overnight stays in Cape Town and Auckland, as well as late-night departures in cities including Barcelona, Casablanca, Dubrovnik, Honolulu, Melbourne and Sydney.
During the South African portion of the voyage, guests will also have the opportunity to take part in a safari experience at renowned game reserves such as Aquila Game Reserve and Pumba Private Game Reserve, known for its population of rare white lions.
