Viking Sjofn takes her name from the Norse goddess associated with love, romance and the protection of couples, giving the ship a softer mythological connection to Viking’s Nordic heritage. This elegant inspiration pairs naturally with the relaxed, intimate style of river cruising she is designed to offer.
Built in 2026 and expected to debut with Viking River Cruises in 2027, Viking Sjofn will carry up to 190 guests across 95 cabins, with a crew of 53 on board. Sailing primarily along the Rhine, this 443-foot Longship will feature Viking’s signature Scandinavian design across four decks, offering a calm and destination-focused way to explore one of Europe’s most popular river cruising regions.
