Refit fun facts
- Seven venues – The Epicurean, The Crow’s Nest, Sunset Bar, Market Café, The Crystal Room, Brodie’s
and the Loyalty and Cruise Sales Desk – were given a total makeover with a new layout, new upholstery or furniture and new carpet design. - 800 tradespeople were involved in the refit – tilers, carpet fitters, electricians, upholsterers, carpenters, seamstresses, plumbers, general labourers, welders, and teak and resin deck specialists.
- The carpet was replaced in more than 10,000 square metres of public areas and in more than 1,000 cabins.
- Over 4,200 metres of alleyway carpet has been replaced – that’s equal to 4.2 kilometres or 2.6 miles
- More than 1,000 new pieces of furniture were brought in, and nearly 1,000 pieces of old furniture were given a new lease of life by being upholstered.
- There are six new whirlpools to relax in.
