I have just travelled eastbound, with some of my family, on this special voyage.
The ship was amazing overall, but several things need to be addressed, in my opinion.
As a family covering three generations, the youngest being 13, during some of the evenings we wished to have together time, just chatting.
We only found one place in which this could happen.
All of the bars and the pub were too packed, and definitely too noisy.
Where there was a piano playing in the quieter lounges, the sound of the music was so loud, that it was impossible to chat quietly.
My next comment refers to the photo shop.
During the cruise, all photos are displayed, but the system used in the shop is very outdated.
There is no system for putting the photos into a folder electronically as on P&O, or being able to take and put in a folder manually as with Fred Olsen, all of which would enable anyone to select their chosen prints at the end of the trip.
The photo shop was also very under-staffed.
Everyone wishing to take any Cunard voyage should also conside the SERVICE CHARGE (not gratuity), which in my opinion should be scrapped.
As yet Cunard have not reached the point at which you can view your on board bill via the TV in your cabin.
Each time you wish to view it, you have to go to the desk and obtain a printout- what a waste of resources ! I really loved the experience of my Transatlantic voyage, and who knows, may even do it again once the other destinations on my ‘bucket list’ have been visited.
