This was our first time on Princess cruises and certainly will be our last.
We sailed from Civitavecchia on Sept 25th 2024 on a 10 day cruise.
The room had a comfortable bed and was cleaned twice daily and fresh towels placed in the bathroom.
There was always plenty of sunbeds available on deck and the Good Spirits bar was excellent with an excellent team looking after us.
On the down side, the medallions didn’t work properly, the safe in the room was broken and not repaired, the hairdryer is like something out of the Jetsons, there are only 2 power points in the stateroom.
The food in the dining room was often cold or luke warm, the wine service was poor and often had to wait a long time until your glass of wine arrived, already poured into the glass behind the scenes, arrived – there are only 5 sommeliers on the entire ship and if you are unfortunate enough to go into the buffet you are served wine in a plastic wine glass or tumbler at 18 dollars per glass [thankfully we had a package!].
The food in the buffet was poor and dried up and we only went in twice, vowing never to go back .
Guest services was the busiest part of the ship with queues every day listening to complaints which were often not followed up and the air conditioning in the room cannot be turned off.
The ports we visited were excellent and the disembarking process was very smooth.
Overall we were very disappointed
