Having been on most of the Princess fleet we know the layout, best spots in the evening and where to find a quiet place in the day.
This ship bears no resemblance to any of the previous ships we have been on it is difficult to negotiate, several dead ends and dreadful lifts that are not adequate for the number of passengers .
4000 and 700 children apart from the odd prima Donna in training with grandma on the dance floor at 11pm this was not a problem As platinum cruisers we have free internet.
The connection was the worst that we have encountered on any ship very frustrating it ‘cost’ 20 mins of time to get hotmail up The food and service were excellent on both the main restaurant and the Lido we felt that because of this the 2 speciality restaurants were nice but not particularly special.
The bands were good as was the entertainment Our balcony cabin assigned by Princess M303 was awful, we had a service area above and the constant noise was dreadful.
We were told there was no other room available and were given a small discount I would rather have had a full nights uninterrupted sleep.
Everything centers on the central atrium which needless to say with 4k passengers gets very crowded (see picture of New Year’s Eve).
The ports were just like a circus 6 other huge ships in St Thomas also in St Marten having been to both on numerous occasions we just stayed on the ship. The adult area sanctuary was very nice but difficult to get a lounger and impossible to book a Gazebo This was not our best cruise with Princess who are our preferred line and we certainly would not go on the beautiful Royal Princess again too many glitches and too many people
