31 day wonderful cruise with a great itinerary.
Embarkation was Ok, esp.
given it was at the old QE terminal rather than the anticpated Mayflower Terminal.
Ship and staff were wonderful.
Enterainment could have been better, with only 3 production shows in the whole 31 days.
Most of the acts brought on were good albeit samey in style ( middle of the road singers -Buble/motown/ratpack/Tina turner etc.
We did have some dreadful acts too, which would have suited a 10 yr olds birthday party – One called Junnk were true to their name, also jugglers and card magicians are old hat, together with a mediocre comedian.
Main dining room food was good, noticeable cuts backs with some past usual dishes carrying supplements- Lobster and better steaks for example.
We did use the Crown grill but it did carry a hefty cover and service charge $64.90 each, also the menu was limited and did not change during the cruise, again some dishes also carried supplements.
The Premier Plus drinks package at £50pppn worked out good value, taking into account tips and WIFI you only need 4-5 drinks to break even, there was a decent choice of drinks availabe from the package and no need to buy the premier package.
The entertainment team and director were good and put on numerous game shows/quizzes etc.
Several decent enrichment speakers.
Booking of some restuarants was a pain using the app , only a few reasonable time slots came up, we ended up giving up trying to book on the app and used the walk in restaurant which was fine provided we dined early.
Service in the main dining was usully quite good, occassional slow service tables.
Being a long cruise the majority of other guests were retirees, very few children on board, good mix of nationalities (Mainly UK/US/AU/NZ)
