Read MoreIf you’re considering a cruise on P&O Cruises’ Arvia or Iona, you may have come across the Conservatory Mini Suite and wondered how it differs from other cabin types. Often seen as one of the most desirable accommodation options on these ships, conservatory mini suites offer extra space, flexibility and a bright, airy feel that appeals to a wide range of cruisers.
This guide explains what a mini suite is, explores the benefits of conservatory mini suites on Iona and Arvia, and helps you decide whether this upgraded cabin type is right for your cruise.
What Is a Mini Suite on a Cruise Ship?
A mini suite sits between a standard balcony cabin and a full suite. While it doesn’t include all the extras of a full suite, it offers noticeably more space and enhanced comfort compared to standard accommodation.
On P&O Cruises ships, mini suites typically feature:
- A larger cabin layout
- A separate seating or lounging area
- A private balcony
- A more spacious bathroom
Mini suites are popular with couples looking for more room to relax, as well as guests who spend more time in their cabin during sea days.
What Makes a Conservatory Mini Suite Different?
A Conservatory Mini Suite takes the concept of a mini suite one step further. Available on P&O Arvia and Iona, this cabin type replaces the traditional balcony seating with an enclosed conservatory-style space.
Instead of stepping directly onto an open balcony, you’ll find a glass-enclosed area with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to enjoy sea views in comfort, whatever the weather.
Included in your Conservatory Mini Suite are the following amenities:
- Air conditioning
- Beds convertible to a twin or king-size bed
- Daily steward service
- En-suite bathroom
- Free in-cabin TV, including comedy, movies, box sets, documentaries, and news
- Hair dryer and safe
- Vanity/writing desk and chair
- Tea and coffee-making facilities
- Telephone
- Toiletries from The White Company
- Priority check-in and boarding (from Southampton)
- Pillow menu
- Balcony with furniture
- Champagne and chocolates on arrival
- Floor-to-ceiling glass doors
